The act of being so absorbed in your phone or computer that you literally get absorbed in it is used multiple times in fiction. More often than not, the subject goes on a life changing journey; meeting programs and personified files who teach the human how to respect and cherish all things. It can be rather humorous.
However, what if the human was walking while the absorption took place. Assuming they’re being sucked into their phone, then the subject would have been holding the phone. But, upon being absorbed, they would no longer exist on the same plane - therefore the phone would fall. And if the person had crappy phone, would it not break upon hitting the ground?
In the aforementioned fiction, the person has to leave the same way they came. Therefore, if the phone hits the ground and breaks, then they’re stuck in the technological world forever.
